Ownership and Management of May Gibbs’ Nutcote

Through Nutcote Trust Pty Ltd, May Gibbs’ Nutcote is jointly owned by the Mayor and General Manager of North Sydney Council.  It is managed by a volunteer Board, which consists of members of the public and appointees from North Sydney Council.  The Board is responsible for appointing a paid Manager Curator and an Assistant Manager who look after the day to day running of thehistoric house museum and garden.  The Nutcote Board  currently consists of Caroline Minogue (Chair), Christine Fraser (Deputy Chair), Andrew Robjohns ( Treasurer and nominee from North Sydney Council) and other Board directors Dugald Holmes,  Yvonne Hyde, Therese Lake, Julia Marshall and Michel Reymond  (North Sydney Council nominee).  Up to two members of the Board can be nominated by the Friends of Nutcote and the current Directors representing Friends of Nutcote are Kari Hanet and Katherine Hopcroft .  Board meetings are held monthly ( except for January) on the third Tuesday of every month. Nutcote Trust Pty Ltd holds an Annual General Meeting which is open to the public.  The next Annual General Meeting is Tuesday 19 April 2011 and will be held at Nutcote at 2pm.

Management

The Board of Nutcote Trust Pty Ltd is responsible for appointing a paid Manager Curator and Assistant Manager to look after the day-to-day running of the historic house museum and garden, May Gibbs’ Nutcote. The current Manager Curator is Courtney Eckler.  There is also an assistant Manager/Volunteer Coordinator, Michelle Perry. May Gibbs’ Nutcote reports annually on its activities to North Sydney Council.
